Photography Phone Apps

From my other blog http://www.thephotographytipsblog.com/photography-phone-apps/

Intro

Whether you are looking to replace your normal camera app, or maybe an app to edit your images before uploading them to Instagram. This weeks post will be about different photography phone apps that can help you with your photography. I will link to the IOS or Android apps.

Camera Apps

Camera+ ($2.99)

The camera app on your phone might be ok, but this one will take it to the next level. Not only does it replace your default camera app but it is also an image editor. It also has some features the default app does not have like burst mode, continuous flash, timer, and more. The app will run you $2.99 but there is a free version to try out. [IOS]

ProCamera + HDR & LowLight ($4.99)

This camera app gives you full manual control of your phone's camera. Its features settings for exposure time, tint, ISO sensitivity, and more. It is nice to have more control of the shutter to make more artistic images. Check it out! [IOS]

TinType ($0.99)

TinType by Hipstamatic is a pretty fun little app. When you take a picture of something you can convert it to look like a Tin Type from the 1800's. I have it on my phone now and love playing with it. I'll post a couple images below showing what it can do. This app is not connected to the Hipstamatic, but a stand alone app. [IOS]

Image Editors

Adobe Photoshop Express (Free)

As most users that edit photos on their computers, they might be using Adobe Photoshop. Well, now you can do that on your phone or tablet too. You can change the look and even do some exposure changes with presets and sliders. I have used it and its pretty easy once you know where everything is in the app. The app is free but does have some in-app purchases if you want certain filters.  [IOS] [Android]

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom (Free)

Here is another mobile version of an Adobe program. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is like the Adobe Photoshop Express app, BUT it also can also sync to your computer version of Adobe Lightroom. I have used this many times to do on the fly editing of images and when I get home the image is edited and ready to go. It is a nice feature if you use Lightroom on your computer to edit. If you do not use Lightroom on a computer that is not an issue, you can still edit any picture you take on your phone or tablet. [IOS] [Android]

Snapseed (Free)

Snapseed by Google is one of my favorite image editing apps on my phone. Simple to use and right to the point. I use this the most out of all the other editing apps I currently have. [IOS] [Android]

Others Apps

Here are some other apps I use and links to download them.

I hope you have enjoyed the apps list I have put together for you. I am sure I have missed some good apps, but there are so many I have not even tried yet so I will update this list as I try out new apps. Please feel free to let me know of any apps you would like me to try out or have missed in the comments below.
