Cadillac Mountain Sunset HDR Photos

So today I was in Acadia National Park on Cadillac Mountain just as a sunset was ending. While not being in the best spot to watch it due to crowds I found an empty spot. Though the sunset was "over" I decided to try and get a few HDR shots to see if I could still pull something nice out. Let me know what you guys think of what I salvaged of the sunset.

Time-Lapse Tutorial with Nikon D800

This is my first attempt at making a Tutorial. I can imagine it only gets easier from here lol. ANYWAY this is a Time-Lapse Tutorial I made with the Nikon D800. I have another one on the way I did at the same time with my D5200. I REALLY want to know what you guys think of it and let me know what you think I could do to improve the videos.

Like anything else, practice makes perfect. SO I will keep making videos and you guys let me know what you think.

Trying something new.

My time-lapse set up

My time-lapse set up

So I am out today doing something new. I'm working on a beginner tutorial on time-lapse photography. I hope to have it out in the next day or two then on to another one. Any suggestions on what you want to see next? Leave your ideas below.

Rancocas Nature Center TL Vblog

On my latest trip to the Rancocas Nature Center I decided to do some time-lapse with my Nikon D800 and GoPro Hero3. I made this quick video and added in the time-lapse that I did to it. They both came out "ok". I feel they could have been better if I was able to get there at a different time of the day and had more time to set up.

Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below.

Testing out the Tamron 70-300mm

Turkey Vulture Soaring (Click here to buy)

The Lost Scarf (Click here to buy)

I am still field testing my new Tamron 70-300mm lens and also working on a video for it but till I get all that figured out here is a couple shots I took Yesterday. The one with the Turkey Vulture is cropped but still looks good.

New Lens

So last night I decided to get a new 300mm lens. I had to choose between the Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6G AF Nikkor Lens and the Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 Di LD Macro Zoom Lens. This is for my Nikon D800 which is a full frame camera. The lens I had been using up to this point was the Nikon 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR AF-S DX Nikkor Zoom Len which I bought with my Nikon D5200. The price of the Tamron was a little more ($10) but one feature it has over the Nikon was a macro feature which I am interested in seeing how that works.

This will be the first time I have used a third party lens and I will post a review about it after I get to field test it. Its suppose to arrive on Wednesday 12/3/14 which is tomorrow and I hope for good weather the next day so I can go out and use it.

Below I have provided links to the items I talked about for you to so you can check them out. If you decide to purchase them please do so through those links it will help me keep the site running for another year thank you!
