Nikon D5200 Time-Lapse Test Decision

I just got my Nikon D5200 back from a friend that was borrowing it. I decided to take it out and shoot some time-lapse to see what the quality was like. I am trying to decide if I want to make this my time-lapse work horse to keep the shutter actuations down on my D800.

Take a look and let me know what you think. Thumbs Up to keep going with the D5200 or Thumbs Down to go with the D800. If you want to see a time-lapse from the D800 to compare let me know in the comments below.

Sunset Time-Lapse shot with GoPro Hero3 White Edition

Sunset shot from my backyard with the GoPro Hero3 White Edition. A lot of cool looking clouds flying through the sky today, so it came out a ton better then I thought it might.
I must say the more I use the GoPro the more impressed I am with it. It was defiantly worth the money and I can't wait to see how it works in the summer with some storms to put it through.

The only down side of using it now in the cold is that the battery does not last too long. I bought the Battery Pack for it which really helps, but the cold still drains them fast. So due to that I don't know how long the battery will last out in the field.

Check out the links below to the GoPro and its battery pack. Think about it, I feel its worth the money.

Testing out the Tamron 70-300mm

Turkey Vulture Soaring (Click here to buy)

The Lost Scarf (Click here to buy)

I am still field testing my new Tamron 70-300mm lens and also working on a video for it but till I get all that figured out here is a couple shots I took Yesterday. The one with the Turkey Vulture is cropped but still looks good.

Long Exposures at Acadia National Park.

My first long exposure that came out pretty nice

So far this is my best and favorite.

While on vacation I was able to find a camera shop called Photo Market where I was able to buy some ND filters to try long exposures. It took awhile but I got a few shots that came out pretty good. Still need to practice, but these were not bad for my first time.
