Blue Moon Photo

Ok so lastnight I took some pictures of the "blue moon". Nothing blue about it, but it was a full moon anyway. I used both my D800 and D5200 along with my 300mm f/4. I think the D5200 beat out the D800. Might be due to the crop factor, so it gave me a bit more reach. Either way I had to crop the photos to get them to look like this. So here they are.

Blue Moon

So tomorrow 7/31/15 there is suppose to be a "blue moon". I can't say I have ever seen one, but I do hope I will be able to not only see one, but photograph it. Here is some info on the blue moon and if I do capture it tomorrow I will post some pics for all to see. http://www.businessinsider.com/blue-moon-friday-july-31-2015-7

Time-Lapse Tutorial with Nikon D800

This is my first attempt at making a Tutorial. I can imagine it only gets easier from here lol. ANYWAY this is a Time-Lapse Tutorial I made with the Nikon D800. I have another one on the way I did at the same time with my D5200. I REALLY want to know what you guys think of it and let me know what you think I could do to improve the videos.

Like anything else, practice makes perfect. SO I will keep making videos and you guys let me know what you think.

Coming out tomorrow!

Ok so my first try at making a Tutorial comes out on YouTube tomorrow. It's a Time-Lapse Tutorial I shot to teach people who want to get into time-lapse a starting point. It goes from how I set the camera up to the gear you will need to how I post processes the images.

I also shot one with my D5200 to show another way you can make a time-lapse with the build in timer. That one will be coming out Wednesday.

I am looking to make more soon too like, long exposure, landscape, more gear reviews, and others. If you have a suggestion on a video you would like to see me make please let me know.

Trying something new.

My time-lapse set up

My time-lapse set up

So I am out today doing something new. I'm working on a beginner tutorial on time-lapse photography. I hope to have it out in the next day or two then on to another one. Any suggestions on what you want to see next? Leave your ideas below.

Sony A5000 Time-Lapse Test on Fish Tank Cleaning

Testing out the time-lapse app on the Sony A5000 camera. I had to clean and change one of my fish tanks so I decided to see how the Sony A5000's time-lapse app would handle it. It came out pretty good I think. Now for a real trial outside and seeing how it handles the sunlight. I will be making a full review on the Sony A5000 in the future.

Long weekend

So I didn't get out to do any photography, but I went to a small local street fair. While walking around there were at least ten photographers that had "booths" set up. They all have nice work and prices that varied.

So here is a question. Have you ever set up a booth at a local fair and have you made anything from doing so?

Bad weather...or is it??

So again I have a day off where I wanted to go out and shoot. I got all my gear charged, prepped, and set to go then I do something stupid. I look up the weather. It said that today was going to be a wet day raining in the morning till afternoon. Stupid me believing that put away my gear and decided to sleep in a little since I wasn't feeling al that well anyway. I wake up and guess what! NO RAIN! Now it says its going to come later in the day. So I again wasted a day to go out and shoot.

So here is a question for you all. What weather app or service do you use to predict whether you are going out to shoot or not and how accurate is it?

So I guess since I wasted most of the day I might as well work on some videos I need to edit for my YouTube Channel lol.

Day Trip Adventures Day One

So with only four days left in my LOA from work, I decided I needed to get out and do something. I found an APP called Roadside from roadsideamerica.com. The APP is cool because it shows odd and interesting places in the area you are currently in or by state. So I used the APP to find places near me and decided to try to find and photograph some of them. In this video it is the first days trip and these are the places I visited.

Futuro House: Mill Creek Park, Willingboro, NJ
World's First Dinosaur Skeleton: Haddonfield, New Jersey
1938 Martian Landing Site Monument: Princeton Junction, New Jersey
The Grover's Mill Coffee House: West Windsor, New Jersey
