River Trash Photo Edit

Just editing some photos tonight and decided to make a quick video of me doing so. This image I am editing was taken at the Nature Center near my house. One of the trails is next to the river and the banks are full of trash. This piece of trash caught my eye.

So today I was out at the Nature Center getting a decent hike in on a nice day. Besides taking along my Nikon D800 and D5200 I brought along a  Lytro Light Field Camera that I bought off of ebay for $25.00 (if you want to get one check ebay for a used one).

First Time Editing in Photoshop

In this video I try something I don't normally do. Edit a photograph in Photoshop. Usually I do all my edits in Lightroom but some things can not be done in LR. I wanted to remove the road in the picture and take some of the shadows off the monument.
I used the clone tool on a dodge brush to do this and in this video you can see me do it. 
I am not very good in PS just yet so ANY tips and tricks you guys can throw at me I'd much appreciate it. I have bought a couple courses online to teach me PS, but I am sure people that have used PS for a long time have more tips and experience then these videos will show me.

Winter Storm Jonas Time lapse

This year the East Coast got hit by Winter Storm Jonas. We received here in New Jersey around two feet of snow. The Friday of the storm I decided to put my GoPro outside on the patio to see if I could get a time lapse of the snow building up.

What I didn't expect was the GoPro to get completely buried with snow. I decided to leave it out there over two nights to capture the snow melting. The only issue I ran into was I originally had the settings to take a shot every 10 seconds. With that the memory card (32gb new 64gb on the way lol) filled up making me dig it out and dump it. When I put it back out I didn't get the angle exactly the same but I like the second angle better. Oh Well. Also I cut a lot of the middle out due to the video being over 12 minutes long. I cut it down to 5 minutes which I think is more then enough.

Where is the snow

So it have been a very disappointing winter so far in New Jersey. Not one flake of snow. I was hoping to be able to go out and get some shots of snow covered trees and such. Well winter is not over yet, but there is still a chance.

Cadillac Mountain Sunset HDR Photos

So today I was in Acadia National Park on Cadillac Mountain just as a sunset was ending. While not being in the best spot to watch it due to crowds I found an empty spot. Though the sunset was "over" I decided to try and get a few HDR shots to see if I could still pull something nice out. Let me know what you guys think of what I salvaged of the sunset.
